My Journey to Diet (RN) SCERT DELHI

(Published on- 06.07.2018)

I would like to share something. Well, last one year has been really important because I have been working really hard to get something .I completed my schooling from CBSE Board in . I opted for JBT after schooling but couldn't clear high cut off.  Fortunately, I got admission in Kirorimal College, University of Delhi, from where I completed my Graduation , but deep down I always wanted to go for JBT (d.el.ed) the reason was simple, I wanted to serve my society, especially poor class, their children are often left behind in the race of life and the credit for that goes to our schooling system, I want to improve & help our education system.

Everything was going okay until one day one of my mentors told me that I can’t do it. His exact words were “you’re not good enough to make it through”. I just couldn’t forget what he said, just when I tried to answer him, my insecurities gropped my tongue, completely frozen I  stood, what if I'm really not good enough? What if I'm just wasting time? What if? What if? Oh! I couldn't feel myself and it took time to overcome that fear and then I thought to myself that there’s nothing better than proving someone wrong and this worked as motivation. I told myself to kill fear this time or I'll never be able to challenge my fears again in life and maybe when I'll be old I’ll think about it, regret it for not being serious. So, I took a decision and diverted all my energy to accomplish my goal.

I even deactivated whatsapp, facebook, instagram and all other distractions for days before the Admission, still I couldn’t sleep at all. I was not worried about the admission, I didn’t know why I couldn’t sleep, and just before the admission list was announced I prayed to god for one final time for blessings. Finally, the merit list was out but then the next day I went through the merit, which was quite high, I made it to the merit, I was happy but not safe because now it was about cut-off and you don’t know how much other people have scored.

There are 1040 seats for all category students in 9 Govt Diet. I prayed to god every day and when the final result was out, I got 975th rank in General combined list and 189th rank in obc Category list, in all Govt Diet (Delhi SCERT). That was unbelievable, trust me, I thanked god for what he’s given me, I thanked god for blessings.

I really believe, if you really want something you’ll get it if you work hard and believe in yourself.
